And that's a Wrap! What a wonderful Autumn term pupils have had topped off with a visit from Santa and gift along with Christmas lunch and festive activities! We hope you all have a lovely half term and see you in the new year!

What a festive last few weeks of term we are having! A huge thank-you to everyone who attended and took part in our first Festival of Christmas. Children sang and performed beautifully, sharing the joy of the season with their families. Year 6 took part in Christingle raising awareness of The Children's Society who work directly with young people at risk of being exploited, abused, neglected. The Church was the perfect setting with trees glistening in the light, candles shining in the darkness and the sound of singing filling the air. The evening would not have been possible without the dedication of staff who pulled everything together and gave up their time to be present.

Rowan children held their Enterprise event on Friday and we are delighted to announce that they collectively made a profit of just over £100 which will go towards the Year 6 leavers hoodies. It was lovely to see the children practising their customer service and sales skills. We have some entrepreneurs of the future.

Beech class continue to show their love of reading in school daily. They enjoy choosing from our wide variety of classroom books as well as accessing the school library each Friday, to choose a book which they can take home to read and share with their family. This week we turned our classroom into a reading space, clearing the chairs and tables to make space for a more relaxed atmosphere. They thoroughly enjoyed this time either reading alone or sharing books with others and we finished the session with our Christmas themed class story, The Christmasaurus.

As we count down to Christmas in Acorn class we have been taking it in turns to unwrap a Christmas story to share together at the end of each day. The children have all enjoyed getting cosy with our Christmas fire on the whiteboard and have listened fantastically to all the stories so far. We can't wait to see what story we will unwrap next!
